All great commando sweaters trace themselves down to this style. Since the cold war, commandos in several countries have been rocking their sweaters but the Bundesmarine hold the title for our favorite. It's dark navy blue makes for a refined look, and it doesn't sacrifice on function like many of the fashion industry's copies. 

It features hook and loop epaulets, a breast pocket for pens and small notebooks, elastic cuffs around the wrists and waist, and padding at the shoulders and elbows.
